The latest version of the Google Play Store i.e. 16.2.25 has started to be rolling out into devices. There are some changes in the UI and interface. Since we know that the Play Store automatically updates itself in the background. Hence, if your background date is turned off or yet still you have not received the update then try the following ways to update the Play Store.
Also if you have a device running on stock Android or the latest version of the Android say Android Pie, then updates will come naturally. What you have to do is to just turn on wifi.
Or you have some older device then here are following ways through which you can update the Play Store.
How to update Google Play Store?

METHOD 1 :
Step1- Open Play Store app and go to Settings from the three-bar on the top left corner.
Step2- Scroll down and look on the Play Store Version. If your Play Store is up to date it will show a pop-up that it is up to date. If not it will start updating automatically.
METHOD 2 :
In the second we clear the data of Play Store App. Then after Goggle will automatically check for the latest updates.
Step1- Open the device Settings.
Step2- Tap Apps/Application Manager/Installed Apps, depending on the device you have.
Step3- Then under all Apps look for Google Play Store and tap on it.
Step4- In the App Info of Google Play Store, tap on Storage. On the Storage screen tap Cleard Storage/Clear Data.
Step5- The Restart the device and wait for 2-3 minutes. The Play Store Automatically starts to update.
CHANGES IN THE LATEST 16.2.25 UPDATE OF PLAY STORE
1- The overall theme is now white which was earlier used to be a combination of categories(colors).
2. Now the background is always white no matter what page you are in.
3- Now the music category is available in the main menu and you can watch albums and songs within the app.
4- The search bar is now updated with rounded corners, new text, and an outline microphone icon.
5- The ratings and number of downloads are above the install button.
6- The install button is now a lot wider and fills up the entire screen unless there is a try now button.
7- The app icons are now bigger.
8- In Review more categories are added such that now you can see All, Positive, Critical, 5*, 4*, 3*, 2*, 1*.
9- Also it is much easier to review and to tick on Yes, No button of someones else review.
10- At the bottom, Google Play refund policy is given.
11. You can also use Debit cards and Google Pay on the Play Store.
12- You can share purchases with up to 5 family members using Google Play’s Family Library.
FOR ACCESSING Google Play’s Family Library
Step1- Go to the Account from the three-bar at the top left corner.
Step2- Scroll to right and you will get Family.
Step3- It will give the option of sign-up now. Tap on it.
Step4- The hit the continue button and agree and then set up the family payment method and accept. After that the process completes.
Thus from the update, we see that most of the changes are nice and now it is easier to browse Google Play Store. If you are not updated to the latest version then update. For further information visit Google Play Store Developers.
